December 17th, 2010

Yes!  Those hats John and I are wearing are authentic Auzie Barmah Hats!  This week a parcel arrived in the mail from Austrailia.  What an honor it was to receive a gift from guests who have since become friends.  Running Harrison Hot Springs, South Garden Bed and Breakfast has opened our world to experience warmth and friendship from our global family.  Thank you our Auzie friends.  Someday we will enjoy your company in your beautiful part of the world.

Harrison Hot Springs Christmas

December 17th, 2010

The Christmas Train has arrived in Harrison Hot Springs/Agassiz.   The community is invited to the show which includes a concert by “The Odds”.  Non-perishable foods and cash donations are accepted to supplement the local Food Bank supplies.  The lights, the show and the community spirit leave behind warm memories.

Harrison Mills Eagles Are Here

December 17th, 2010

The majestic eagles spend a few weeks here in the Harrison River Valley.  Often they are seen perched in the trees, resting or looking for their next snack.                 As they soar through the air, the eagles’ wingspan can reach 6 – 7 feet across.  Regal and powerful, these birds are an awesome sight to behold.

Harrison/Agassiz Christmas Carols

December 10th, 2010

Last night the Harrison/Agassiz community celebrated Christmas together.  The audience was welcomed with the beautiful strings of the harp, played by Natalie.    Kids’ Choirs led the audience in Christmas Carols.  Church Choirs and Communities Choirs shared their joyful anthems.  An orchestra of strings and brass, along with the piano accompanied the audience singing.  Yes! an evening to remember and relish.
