Tender Omelets

Omelet

Dice green onions/chives and peppers

Heat diced froz ham in microwave

 

Beat 2 eggs, salt, pepper, and mrs dash in a measuring cup; add gr onions or chives, peppers and ham.

 

Heat a little butter in fry pan (burner on #7), add egg mixture; when done place 2 slices of cheese; flip egg over in half and slide on heated plate with 2 orange slices; cover with heated bowl.

**place plates and bowl coverings in oven (temp off) after baking is done for omelets and waffles

Omelets served hot off the grill, in the privacy of the suite, here at South Garden Bed and Breakfast.

Oat and cornmeal Belgian Waffles

  Makes 5 -6 waffles

¾ cup white flour                    ½ tsp salt

¾ cup whole wheat flour                   2 cups buttermilk

½ cup slow oats                      2 large eggs

1/3 cup yellow cornmeal                   ¼ cup brown sugar

2 tsp baking powder               ¼ cup melted butter

½ tsp baking soda                             1 tsp vanilla

 

Mix flours, oats, cornmeal, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

Whisk buttermilk, eggs, sugar, butter, and vanilla.

Mix mixtures together and scoop onto waffle iron.

 

(to keep warm place directly on oven rack at 275 F for up to 20 min)

Served hot off the grill here at South Garden Bed and Breakfast, in the privacy of the suite.

Heavenly Scones

Scones   (makes 4 or so )

Mix below ingred:

1 c flour

1/6 c sugar

2 tsp baking powd

¼ tsp salt

Mix ½ square marg into above mixture with hands until marg is the size of peas

In a measuring cup mix with fork: 1 egg with ¼ c (1/2 n ½ cream) or 6 creamers.  Then mix this with dry ingred with wooden spoon.  Turn onto floured counter – roll into a round—cut into four—put on baking sheet—brush with 1 creamer—sprinkle with sugar/cinnamon—punch in fruit 360 deg/10 min

 

 

 

Scones  (makes 8 or so)

Mix below ingred:

1/3 c sugar

4 tsp baking powd

½ tsp salt

Banana Bran Muffins

                                                     Banana Bran Muffins (makes 3 large muffins)

                                                        1 banana                                      betw 1/2 & 3/4 c flour

                                                       1 egg                                                3/8 cup bran

                                                      3/8 c br sugar                              1/4 tbsp baking powd

                                                      1/4 c veg oil                                 1/4 tsp baking soda

                                                      1/8 c butter milk                         1/4 tsp salt

                                Mix dry ingred with wet ingred; Bake at 350 degrees/25 min

                               2 eggs                                                                               3/4 c bran

                               3/4 c br sugar                                                               1/2 tbsp baking powd

                               1/2 c veg oil                                                                   1/2 tsp salt

                               1/4 buttermilk                                                              1/2 tsp baking soda

                        Mix dry ingre with wet ingred; bake at 350 degrees/25 min
